MOONDOGS
Parson Russell Terriers &
Border Collies
To our friends...
What do you say at a moment like this?
Quinn was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia
(IMHA) on Tuesday, November 28, 2011. He was hospitalized and
received the best of medical and TLC; it simply was not enough to
restore him to good health.
I just do not know where to begin this tribute. How can I do
justice to this wonderful friend on four-legs? The endless hours we
shared together every day incorporating activities such as hikes,
walks, vacations, going to work, tossing a ball, attacking the fly
swatter, grooming, snow play, the beach, training obedience &
agility, herding, tricks and, most recently tracking. We enjoyed
trialing, massages, fitness workouts, off-beat places we trained,
socializing, exploring culinary delicacy, and no Quinn: rubber bands
and Kleenex do not fall into any food group.
Perhaps because Quinn was such a challenge in the beginning,
the extra effort it took to become a team is what made the bond so
incredible....and why the loss is so undeniable and vast.
I am reminded of all the special people we met and have gotten
to know: trainers, vets, fellow dog folks, and civilians enjoying his
friendly greetings and watching him work and play.
I tried to write a tribute to Quinn this evening.....nothing works!
Looks like Quinn is still challenging me to step up to the plate, the
rascal!
I thought instead I would simply use a photo to let him speak for
himself. Turns out I have thousands of photos of Quinn.
How full my life was with, and because of Quinn. Quinn was
bright, talented, enthusiastic, a good will ambassador, just a love.
How very much I miss him already.
